Oasis Sign 3 Album Deal With SonyBMG

Oasis have signed a new deal in conjunction with SonyBMG and their own record label Big Brother Recordings.


Big Brother Recordings will handle the release of the band's forthcoming studio album (rumoured for a September release) in a profit share arrangement with the industry giant.


Oasis have inked a three album deal and SonyBMG will also handle the distribution and marketing of their back catalogue in all major markets worldwide.


Alex McKinlay - a member of the Oasis management team, says: "This is an imaginative and exciting arrangement which will allow Big Brother to team up with the cr�me of both the independent and major sectors worldwide to build on Oasis' already considerable international success."


"This allows the band to take advantage of all the opportunities presented by the new business models available today as well as remaining totally in control of their own destiny. We are really pleased that Sony BMG have demonstrated the foresight and courage to engage with the band in this way."


After the demise of Creation Records in the late 90s, the Gallagher's self-released their next run of albums, that were 'Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants', 'Heathen Chemistry' and 'Don't Believe The Truth'.
